I love poinsettias but pets really rule them out (although I have learned that while they will made an animal sick, they wouldn't actually poison one). This morning, I arrived at work to a. seeing a friend I worked with years ago and hadn't seen in ages who was at my school for a meeting and b. a student with this poinsettia and a pair of snowflake earrings for me and 3. a "wonderful teacher" ornament. They are only little things but it really does make such a difference when you get that little treat once in a while. I feel very lucky.
